If Cajuns end up ranked #8 in RPI they will get the shaft and miss out on a national seed because the selection committee will not want super regionals to be in Lafayette and BR. Too close.

    Just a thought....what do ya'll think?

On second thought, what does GoneGolfin think?

I don't think the softball committee ares about having regionals in Lafayette and Baton Rouge. But they'll look to pair Lafayette and Baton Rouge for a Super, though. That's an issue.

    Just a guess.

Edited to add: every time the Red Team goes to BR for NCAA tournament play, we advance. So maybe that's not so bad.

The only way that happens is if we end up in the 13-16 range because LSU is going to end up as a top 4 national seed.

Will not be a factor. You reward the national seeds to the Top 8 teams ... period.

You are thinking of baseball. This is softball. All of the #1 regional seeds in softball are seeded #1 -> #16 for a reason.
