So if you can't argue with the stats you just say they are silly. All of those stats are justification of why he should be given one more year. I want him gone as much as you do, but I just gave several reasons why he should stay, and all you can do as an arguement is say they are silly.

Attnedance??? I think the major justification is that his team is bad and will lose more than half the games on the schedule.

Question? Are they being coached "up" at least that is my question.

If I were Robert Lee I would jump all over those stats.

If I were pragmatic I would counter, the percentages of improvement are easily attributable to the overall maturation of the team and not proof they were being coached up.

Now that is a good response!!! Can I nominate you to be on the committee of people that lets Robert go? Although I think I make a pretty good argument for Robert, I sure as heck will not be on the team defending him! I would volunteer to be on the team that helps him clean out his office!

How about this for a counter....

They aren't freaking winning. Period. All the other stats are meaningless.

That's not how school administration looks at a Coach at 90% of the schools in the country. As a fan, we look at wins and losses. As administrators they look at things that we don't even think about.

By the way, The Cajuns are "Freaking Winning". The Cajuns are 4 out of the last 5 after the victory tonight! That puts the Cajuns at 5-3 in Sun Belt play, and their destiny is in their own hands as far as winning the west. Right now it looks as though they have as good a chance as anyone to be the conference champions and move on to the NCAA tournament. If that happens Robert gets and automatic extension.

Tonight the Cajuns held the highest scoring offense in the Sun Belt to 54 Points. Looks like the General is starting to get the best out of his troops!

Winning the regular season Western Division Title does NOT save Lee's job. Only winning the conference tourney and going to the big dance automatically extends him.

I went to the game last night and was impressed with the effort and results... but to FINALLY be getting the most out of the troops towards the end of the fourth season is too little too late. This does not and should not save him.

January 28 at Arkansas State (6-2)
    January 30 at Louisiana-Monroe (4-6)
    February 4 FIU (4-5)
    February 6 Arkansas-Little Rock (1-8)
February 11 at Florida Atlantic (6-3)
February 13 at South Alabama (4-6
    February 18 Arkansas State (6-2)
    February 20 Louisiana-Monroe (4-6)
February 25 at North Texas (5-4)
    February 27 at Denver (6-2)

We still have home and home with ASU and the last game of the season at Denver. The game that will make or break this final run is the game at Florida Atlantic. It's not hard to see 6 more possible vicotries on this schedule.

The Cajuns have 4 home games and 6 away games left on the schedule. If they win 3-4 at home and 3-6 on the road, and there is no major controversy concerning our team for the rest of the season, Robert Lee will come back. If he wins the West he will get a contract extension. If he wins the tournament this conversation was for nothing because the extension is automatic.

Anyone who thinks that having Robert back next year is what I want is crazy. I'm just taking the point of view that we will need to learn to live with him for at least one more season. I have season tickets and have already stopped going to the games. I have taken the stance that I will not be back in the Dome for a basketball game until Lee is gone even though it is costing me money.

The team is playing better, there is no doubt. However, to think that anything short of a miracle will save his job is presuming too much. You have to remember that we lost to Mobile and Centenary and played way too inconsistent for much of the season. The fanbase is showing their disapproval of his tenure and the player issues we've had can't be ignored. He may have strong finish but he will not be here after this year. Out of the rest of the schedule, I have us going about .500 for the rest of the season with games against tough teams like ASU, NT at NT and at FAU who is playing very well right now and will be hard to go there and win. That will still keep us well under .500 which would not give Lee an extension.

You do remember that we are talking about the UL administration?

I was asked this morning by a friend if I'm Lee's new agent? I think Robert should go, but if he wants to pass 10% my way I will not say no!

Robert Lee has been the man in charge during the 2nd worse period in Mens Basketball in UL history. I say 2nd because the Death Penalty years are 1st. Robert needs to go and we need to go in a different direction.

The talent to win the Belt is there and has been there for the past 3 years. The problem is Robert does not coach to fit his players, he tries to make his players fit his style of play.

That alone shows me two things, he cannot get the players into UL that fits his style of play and he is too pig headed to understand that an uptempo style fits the guys he recruited. Either way he has failed in all facets of the game with the lone exception being APR. He is also part of the reason we were in the APR fiasco in the first place.
