Even if Bureau and Gradnigo commited themselves to basketball, they would be European players at best. I am not even sure Bureau is a starting caliber guard. Once people realized you have to put a body on him he has been a non-factor. Fact is he is not strong enough to play consistently and is nothing more than a bench player.

I am not saying all are players are garbage, I just think it is one of the weaker talent pools I have seen at UL over the past 30 years. _

Yes I am. Again, you are looking at things in Black and White. 4 years ago, people essentially gave up on Benson and Williams. I don't care if they won Heisman's or not. The point was, they were highly drafted guys who everyone can agree had great talent and physical tools. They completely underperformed for MUCH of their career and only recently, have both lived up to a portion of the expectations they set for themselves. The point was the difference between talent and production. Gradnigo was one of the more talented players coming out of high school in this state and was highly ranked as a recruit. Bureau has the physical tools. He has shown at times that he can be a deadly shooter and is a great athlete that can finish in transition. He has better than average height at his position and with his length, could be a nightmare defender if he worked enough at it. Again, I'm talking about the players that these guys COULD be rather than what they are right now.

As a matter of fact, both have at times, shown that they can be tremendous players. Gradnigo has struggled this year and still is either the leading scorer or second leading scorer on this team and has scored over 20 points almost every game the past 6-7 games. These guys may not end up being the players we thought they'd be but the bottom line is they have the talent to be all conference players...It's that simple.
