Clement hit the ball hard tonight too... Pulling for him to produce for us down the stretch. Would be great to be able to platoon RF righty/lefty with no drop off between he and Butler

Clement should should play every game. Left handed bat and can motor. Go check his stats from last year and junior college. Time to set a consisted line up.

Nobody cares about what he did in juco, this isn't juco nor last year. Go see what Greg Davis did last year...it's not the same this year. Why??? Because half the time those AB's were in meaningless points of the game when we were up by 7-8 runs. Much different having to do it under pressure filled situation.

Hope Butler is OK. Mills, IMHO has solidified a spot in the outfield.
Mills got the winning hit, but his bat is weak. Lots of strike outs, low average, no power. Hope he can improve center field with better at bats.

Disagree about power, dude sliced a blooper oppo last night 10 feet from the wall. Has enough power and also showed what he can do a couple weeks ago when he went on a tear. Had 2 scorchers at lsu in huge spots thet only a handful of SS make a play on and the other was swatted down by the pitcher.

Agreed. He also had some clutch, hard hit balls during the Ark state series. Seems to me he's been hitting well lately

I'm glad Mills and Kyle were brought up.. While both looked bad at the plate early in the game (and even in the very same at bat in which they got big hits) BOTH players learned and adjusted on the fly, against a front line reliever throwing 96. I can't say enough how inpressive that is. A very good sign for us going forward. It reminded me a lot of Bama series. Mills is figuring this thing out, we've weathered Davis' big slump, and I agree with DeepSouth, Clement should see the field more.

Houston can play. We didn't come from behind against a scrub team. Even more impressive, we made about 4-5 mistakes in that game that SHOULD have cost us the win. In actuality, the Cajuns played a good game, and were 3 pitches, a Troaclair sno-cone grab, and a really bad strike zone away from dominating a top 20 team. We made zero official errors and recovered well from a bad first inning.

A lot of positives to take away from last night.

Not going to rag on a player only coaches and administrators. My bad if it seems critical, but the stats seems to say this. Played in 25 games started 21. Bats .266, has one homer, one triple, one double, fourth highest strike outs on the team. tied for fewest walks. He is an outfielder and they should be among the better hitters IMO. I just do not believe he has locked up this position. He needs to get better, as a junior where is the upside.

What's the alternative? Herrington? I didn't say you were being critical, I just don't agree with you...just don't think the kid is weak... I've seen him hammer pitches. His versatility in OF is a huge plus able to play CF and LF. How do his numbers stack up against people not named Trahan and Thurman?
