I'm not going to bash a fan for wearing white if said white shirt has red and UL and/or Cajuns on it. Keep in mind that the Red Dots technically wear white. ;-)
-----Well I tell you what---those red jerseys with LOUISIANA written across the front looked great on TV----Don't know how well they showed up live from the stands---Wonder what the LSU reaction to them was!!!

And why do some Cajun fans go to sporting events and wear white? That baffles me to no end. If I have to question who you are cheering for, you're doing it wrong!
I would have gone but got in from San Antonio last night just in time to catch the game on TV. I thought we played very well overall. We obviously would have loved the win... but we competed until the end. LSU has a very very strong team. We did well.

As for fans, I wasn't that surprised that we didn't have a huge turnout. The Wally Pontiff Classic is a big LSU event - and should be (and many of our fans aren't real fired up about the way many LSU fans look down their noses at us specifically) and it's a tough trip to go and return to Lafayette on a week night. I didn't see too many people in white. I saw P&G with some red sprinkled in on TV.

We played them hard and it was obvious by the LSU team body language that they were also putting forth maximum effort to win it.

I'd like to ask a dumb question: I'd thought we'd be seeing a lot more of Jam Williams. Kid can run. Did I miss a reason .... other than he's just too green?

I'll give you a hard time Dre.

Remember this post from last week?

"I'm there. Wearing white since I don't have a red dot shirt."

They're trying to settle on the 9 everyday starters now, so his opportunities like most freshmen field players that come in, will be in situations for the most part.

He's still a football guy that they're bringing along. I dont know how much more you expected to see him. He's shown where he is best used at this point in time, in situations and some midweek starts.

Keep in mind, we pushed a few midweeks back already, so those opportunities will come. We've only played 6 midweek games, including last night, over a month and a half. We have 7 of them in just the next 4 weeks.

Yeah...I think your point about the lack of mid-week games is what I was missing.....prob would not have noticed his absence as much.

I have little (some, but not as much) problem with someone wearing white for a home contest, but road? No!!!

You are there to support the Cajuns, so come out and say it!

And I did wear white for that game to pay homage to the red dots. I felt out of place with everyone wearing red.

Who fn cares what their reaction was. Even when they are trying to be friendly, they are looking down their noses. The guy behind me had a flat bill turned sideways, wife-beater, and prison ink on his face and neck and was full of uninformed, uneducated opinion of us all night long.
It's a good event, and I really liked the venue.....but as usual, the LSU fans left a bad taste in my mouth.

Many of the UL alums who live in the New Orleans area now live on the North Shore. That is an hour drive to Zephyr Field. They probably also chose to watch on CST vs getting home after 11 on a week day with school and work responsibilities for Wednesday.

That is why I don't attend baseball games on the road that consist of purple and P-ss.

Yes. Neck tats. Those are fresh. Nothing says "I don't care and you can't make me. " like neck ink, face ink, or gauge earrings.

I know quite a few folks with gauged ears, but none with face or neck tats, and none of them care about sports. Gauged ears really isn't a "thing" among the white trash group that jumbo was describing.
