    According to Buckley....

Tim Buckley: If one were to try to make a case that the UL baseball team will beat LSU tonight in New Orleans, here are five ways it can happen and/or points to consider:

    1. Chris Charpentier pitches the game of his young life. The UL sophomore from St. Thomas More High will get the start despite appearing in only two games so far this season. Coach Tony Robichaux figures he'll have to work his bullpen hard, and will let the lefty Charpentier – who has a 1-1 record and an impressive 1.00 ERA – go as long as he can only to the point that LSU hitters are starting to get to him. But if the kid can somehow manage to tame the Tigers? Who knows? Something else to consider: Scheduled LSU starter Kyle Bouman has, at 8.31, what is by far the worst ERA of all LSU pitchers this season.

    Wow...

Wow. Someone better tell Charp to warm up.

Anyway, Toups doesn't need the game of his life. He just needs a good game and for the guys behind him to play some defense. Offensively, we can't keep up the trend of getting runners in scoring position with less than 2 outs than doing nothing with it.
