3-1 against Pcola. Another game we could have won. Losing is getting easy which aint a good thing.

Yea you know Frenchie we were playing a great game versus the Surge last night until that 10:00 minute PP for the MS team. Pretty simple huh... stay out of the sin bin and play your heart out and you should win.

I didn't see last night's game so I don't know if this is the case, but......in the past I have observed that quite often the ref simply doesn't want the Icegators to win, and it is so easy to influence the out-come of a game when you are in that position.

You know I coach MS sports and usually I always say poor losers complain about the refs but Saturday night I'm not so sure. I didn't see the penalties so I really can't judge if it was deserved or not but it was not a very physical game. One of the high sticking calls I did see was nothing more than one of our guys clearing the puck on a PP. He did not hit the MS player nor was he close to hitting anyone. Besides the Redskin Saints game this year I've never seen refs change the outcome of game like last Saturday Night. You might be on to something but why would they hate the IceGators?

This is just a theory, mind you, but I think it goes back to the planning stages of putting our team together. Could it be that the powers that be, thought the SPHL was a different type of league than it turned out to be? They recruited a basic goon squad, so to speak, and establlished that reputation at the onset and word got around, spread by the early refs and cry-baby coaches that we played. Our rep precedes us into each game and consciously or unconscioulsy the refs are "out to get us". Does this make sense to anyone?

Yes actually that makes perfect sense. Did we go out and get some enforcers right off the bat with a terrible reputation? The game last Saturday night in my eyes was a very clean game for both teams. A couple of good hard body checks by both sides but that was about it.

I heard that Ron didnt have much input into the roster . Brent was finding the guys . It looks like he was trying to make a team the way he played . He scored alot in his day but also has alot of goon in him

Well one of the first players announced as being signed was Jason Hamilton, who had a reputation in the ECHL so if you call him a enforcer, yes we did go out and get an enforcer.
