Default Best Cajun Baseball Player Since Omaha Is......

    Who?

I am thinking Trahan might have a slight overall edge over Luc, due to his defensive wizardry. The guy could anchor most MLB infields today. BT will be in the big leagues for good as soon as he proves he can hit MLB pitching, maybe before.

Luc was offensively dominant almost from day 1, with gaudy OPS of .971, 1.000 and 1.067. He was obviously very serviceable behind the dish in college, ultimately mastering the defensive side of the game in pro ball. There is a higher learning curve at C compared with SS.

Trahan's current OPS is 1.021, approaching Luc's level his draft year.

It's an interesting question. I actually think Jace had the best single season. Unanimous first team All American is tough to pass up. Overall, career I think Luc and BT are slightly ahead of Jace. I think it's almost a coin flip between the two.

The good thing about Blake (when it comes to potential MLB career) is his versatility. He will be in the big leagues despite his size. What he lacks he makes up ten folds in other areas. He can play anywhere they put him and will do so with no questions asked. I watched Blake grow up and I've known him since he was playing T-ball. He was always a man amongst boys yet he stayed humble and never let that get to him. He is a great young man and has a very bright future ahead of him.
