Hey we will keep the wildcats guessing!!!

Why would you try to change the offense in 2 weeks for a bowl game where Broadway may or may not play? That was a long time ago boomer. We can outman and out athlete the SBC, you aren't gonna do that against our big OOC games, those cats see SEC Zone read... You don't think they can stop ours?

I suggest you go watch practice and count first team reps and drop them yours. I wonder why we installed a bunch of under center plays in the spring? I think it's haack's to lose, he will start and there will be packages for Nixon.

---Wow --whatever they choose that will win and I think they know and have shown how to do that these past 4 years---I think we have great backs for the Z-R offense and if we run it I have my choice of QBs- If we Manning it up and down the field that is fine also!!!

Nixon is a superb athlete, Haack is the better QB. At the end of the day, Nixon is a kid that could probably play any of the following positions in some way shape or form: QB, RB, WR, TE, DE, LB, S and Wildcat, as well as Special Teams, etc. He is a huge asset to the Cajuns and we are lucky to have him......Unfortunately he is not and should not be our starting QB. Brooks Haack is the best man for the job and should be named the starting QB very soon before the season starts. I know that Nixon performed admirably in the bowl game, but 6-12 passing for 108 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT does not impress me, he has rushed for 9 carries for 34 yards. In the bowl game he was 2-2 for 14 yards. 7 carries for 29 yards. Just not that impressed with his numbers. Again I do think he is a superb athlete and needs to be on the field somewhere, but I feel much more confident with Haack as the #1, Davis as the #2 and Nixon as the WC/RB, specialty option. Just my opinion, take it for what it is worth.

Yeah, I love em all. But I love Haack the most.

The known herd is Nixon, nobody else has had game fire except Haack. I like Nixon, but he is a huge off the field risk, not nearly the passer Haack is. Haack can do an acceptable job of a mobile quarterback, a quarterback that is not a stationary target. He is a far superior passer.

Having said that, I think almost all of Haack's success has been in mop up role. He did come in and make big plays in important games last year, and that cannot be dismissed. Quoting Stevie P we do not have a large sample of either. Nixon did have a pivotal role in the NOLA Bowl against TooLAME. No doubt his play gave us a much needed boost with Broadway still hurting from the broken arm.

IMO Hud will adjust the system to his best quarterback. It is not like the system is that different for either quarterback. If Haack continues to be the far more accurate quarterback in the fall he will get the initial call.

I'm not getting into your debate with Boomer but I will mention that we are not outmanning or out-athleting anybody in the SBC. We may be on par with teams in terms of the athletes we have in our program but we are not superior in that regard to the other top teams in our conference.

IMO, there is little to no chance that somebody other than Haack goes into the season as the starter. I think the entire team and coaching staff knows this without having to actually come out with a press release to say it. I also think that some overstate the offensive playbook and concerns about changing it for Haack's style. We run a spread attack from the pistol and I don't think that will change much, if at all. You obviously won't see as much QB option stuff although I still think it will be a part of the offense but I would imagine possibly more 2 back sets, jet screens and rollouts. Its a simple tweaking of the offense without having to "change" anything really.
