How are we still arguing about this? If you've seen the QBs at all, you know Haack is the clear cut #1. If you saw the "lucky throw", you know he was a magician to get out of the sack, aware enough to keep eyes down field, and strong enough to get the ball out to the sideline. The completion at this point is really irrelevant. Those are qualities we NEED under center. If you saw that South Al game, you know that we walked into a buzz saw.. In fact, it was the classic 2-3 games a year when Hud's teams come out and fall flat on their face, giving the impression that they don't really want to be there. Haack was, like the rest of the team that day, ill prepared and consequentially, had a poor showing. These arguments are fore gone conclusions IMO.

Has anyone given a thought that maybe Hud is not making a decision on a starter because not all of his quarterbacks are in camp yet? Dion Ray could be one of those guys who comes in and owns it right away. It's happened before.

----Dion Ray was in the scrimmage for a couple of plays and look Like Mr Athleticism----The play book is so voluminous for the college QB these days that it is extremely hard to come in and run the show!!! Yes it has been done but very rarely!!!

I have been wanting to see more of Haack since the first time I saw him throw the ball. Of course I have no way of knowing how he ranks in all the other things QBs need to do. But watching Haack throw the ball is a thing of beauty. JMO
