Honestly, if Haack isn't the starter at Kentucky, then the season is already a waste. That means he's either injured for a few games/the year or we've made a terrible decision in sticking with this "Mobile QB" mantra by starting Nixon.
Haack has performed well every time he has been called upon with one exception, the start at USA two years ago. Even then, the rest of the team did not help him much that night. Last year, he completed 20 of 23 attempts. I do no think it is appropriate to say he has struggled "under the lights" based upon only one bad outing. We also will adjust the offense to fit his skills. Personally, I believe it is his job to lose in fall camp and I do not think that will occur.
That pass was not thrown up for grabs, but was thrown to the only spot where our player could make a play on it and it could not be intercepted. Yes, the receiver made a great play; but the ball was not just thrown up.
Okay I'm sorry Haack is the second coming of Brett Favre, is that better? I wish the kid all the best, but there is a reason Hud stuck with Broadway through his early season struggles last year. I do agree maybe the offense is revamped to fit his abilities, but I think this offense will be run heavy with McGuire and the other backs. Don't be surprised if one of the more mobile quarterbacks get the nod at some point, that way defenses have another runner to account for.
