I plan on going. I recommend staying downtown Louisville on the river and commuting to Lexington for the game.

The lovely lady and I are in. Only a 4.5 hour drive for us. Can bring tailgait supplies. Already have rooms in Bone too.

Suck it up and start planning the offense around Haack so these guys can be on the same page come sept. 5th. I feel the longer this drags on the more it hurts the offense.
------And the longer Kentucky doesn't have a game plan on defense for the Cajuns!!!

Z, if you do decide to go, and if you're a fan of bourbon, I highly suggest you take jumboragncajun's advice and stay in Louisville.

What possible advantage would be gained by publically naming a starter now? I wouldn't ever name one. The team knows. Believe it or not Ragin Pagin doesn't need to know who the official starter is for the coaches to start game planning around him.

Actually, it was something we had to agree to when we signed up to be members of RP. We are required to know who the QB is...

Everyone thinks this is a clear cut deal, I really think Hud is pondering what to do at QB. Haack seems to be the front runner, but hasn't performed that well under the lights. Does that mean he can't get the job done? No, but it remains to be seen. Nixon has Gauthier like abilities, I really thought if Gauthier wasn't suspended he would have seen significant playing time, when Broadway struggled early on last season. Clearly, Davis is the ideal dual threat guy and the future, just probably not ready yet.

    I'm jealous.

I'm going to disagree with your evaluation on Nixon, he does not have Blaine Gauthier ability in throwing the deep ball. Nixon can scramble and make defenders miss, and is capable of operating the short passing game. Haack has matured into a leadership role and his capable of getting the ball downfield and dumping the ball off in underneath with accuracy. I do think both QB's will have to be ready to play because we have not made it through the season with one healthy QB. Nixon will probably have packages, provided he can hold off the development of Jordan Davis. Davis has all the skills, just lacks experience and consistency.
