Louisiana plays its final road non-conference game of the season on Wednesday, Dec. 23 in Louisville. The Cajuns and Cardinals tip at 6 p.m. (CST) from Freedom Hall.

● For the third straight road game Louisiana visits a venue it hasn't been to in a while. Last Tuesday's game at Southern Miss marked the Cajuns first trip to Green Coliseum since January 2001. The Lamar trip marked the first visit to the Montagne Center since December 1998. Now, UL appears at Freedom Hall for the first time since Feb. 1991.

● The last time a Cajuns team faced Rick Pitino on his home court was Dec. 23, 1989 at Kentucky. UL defeated the Wildcats 116-113 in OT.

● UL meets a Big East team for the first time since visiting Providence in Jan. 2003.

● Seven of the Cajuns' 10 games have been decided by single digits.

● Chris Gradnigo is beginning to find his groove. In the last three games he's averaging 17.7 points per game and shooting 18-of-38 from the floor (47%).

● It's a busy holiday stretch for the Cajuns. Last Saturday's game at Lamar began a stretch of six games in 14 days.

● Louisiana went 2-4 in the first round of non-conference action. In the second segment, UL is 1-2 having defeated Lamar and losing to Southern Miss and Tulane. The Cajuns enter the Louisville game with a 3-6 non-conference mark.

● Tyren Johnson became the fourth Cajuns player to reach 500 career points, accomplishing the feat in Monday's game with Tulane. He joins a group that includes Travis Bureau, Randell Daigle and Chris Gradnigo.
