In the next presser, Parrott should ask Lee how this loss will affect their chances of making the playoffs.

Well, I'm not gonna get into the middle of this except to say that both of you are right about the number of calls. Robert did, in fact, make four calls. I saw his call log today. I'm not disputing your statement of two. I too have an iphone and know how that works.

Merry Christmas to you and Courtney, Josh. She's born on the same day as a great American.

This could get interesting though. If I'm in parrott's shoes, I'd ask the exact same question after the Louisville game (perhaps with a smartass tone for extra flavor). Good TV will be enjoyed by all!!

Everyone could be right about this. Coach Lee could have made four calls but only two have shown up due to electronic malfunction. Things like that have happened to me quite often. In the long run, this won't amount to much. This incident will not have any impact on Coach Lee's future. Simply put, Coach Lee was frustrated and I imagine he did not want to let his emotions get the best of him so he excused himself. Poor trash can took the brunt of it. Look guys, the man desperately wanted to win that game and it was basically given away due to the turnovers. All Cajun fans were somewhat agitated when we walked out of the Dome on Monday night. In the old days, we would have stayed that way for awhile but due to the circumstances we recover quickly. Coaches don't do that is this is their livelihood, not a hobby. They better recover in the next few minutes however as they will soon be going against the Cardinals.

"I too have an iphone and know how that works. " I can call you ten times and if I hang up fast enough you won't show I ever called.

Josh won't have a chance to ask any questions after the game tonight as his employer cannot afford to send him to cover distant basketball games. Considering the economy, that is understandable. I trust Jay will ask the right questions once the game ends.

BJ and I had a phone conversation to clear the air today.

My intent in pointing out my experience wasn't to stroke my ego but to express that i'm confident in my abilities and have a proven track record in doing quality work. That was in response to what I took as someone questioning how I've handled the situation.

As for what people say behind my back, I've been in the public eye long enough to know I can't control what others say or think, but if I disagree I will make that known. If someone chooses to say one thing to my face and something else behind my back, that's on them.

As for not being interested in your job and career advice, I look for that from family and close friends, my co-workers and my bosses. I'd hope you wouldn't want my job advice given that I have no background in insurance, and to be honest I'm not going to give any to you.

In the future, I hope we can all avoid name-calling in similar situations. Unless of course smart••• is code for smartguy.

I hope to get a reply from Robert after the game.

    I hope so.

I've seen far worse tantrums but usually it was because the question was so bad. This was tame in comparison now if he had dunked a reporter in the can like Bobby Knight now we talking.

Perhaps because Coach Lee is a fan of the Cowboys and thought their winning was a guarantee his team would win 2 days later.

Perhaps he had a flashback to when he was robbed in the tourney against Louisville with the phantom charging call against Orien Green.

Perhaps kicking a chair and trash can was on his bucket list.

Perhaps Coach Lee had to use the restroom and decided to flush the interview.

Perhaps I'm just keeping with the whole theme of this ordeal . . . more questions than answers.

In such a situation, many of us would have let frustration get to us but that does not excuse the behavior. I do not understand why it occurred after a fairly typical question. Jay asked the same question on the radio and the answer was normal. In reality, the next two games are meaningless. It will be a blowout at Louisville while the Centenary game may allow some confidence to be regained prior to getting into conference play. Another issue to deal with is how to get the three injured guys back into the rotation without disruption once they become healthy. I would have said disrupting chemistry but I am not sure how much of that we have. By the way, I believe the current contract calls for an automatic extension if the Cajuns win the conference tournament. We all know how unlikely that is to occur. _
Josh, I applaud you for your candor in the matter considering you have to work with Lee to do your job and get us stories. I, however, feel that the behavior may be blown out of proportion. To me it was likely a sign that he is emotional about his team's play and I'd rather see some emotion like this from the team's leader and coach rather than simply accepting another terrible loss. To me, it shows that he cares about how his team is performing and I really don't have a problem with it. Granted, I wasn't there so I have nothing to base my point on but simple reading observation but I also understand that it was likely you that asked the question and are a little TO'd that he showed you up also. I'd be more embarassed if he had done this on the court a la Bobby Knight. JMO

You said you werent going to get in the middle of this yet you made it a point to tell Josh that there were 4 phone calls made from Roberts phone. Sounds like you want to get in the middle of it, because if you didnt you wouldnt of said anything about it.
