The problem is that Lee will be back, probably with a contract extension so that he can recruit. If they were to let him go after signing Bustle to an extension then the university would be open to a lawsuit. The same thing goes for the ladies team.

Our athletic department is in serious trouble. We need to clean house. Put either one of the Lotiefs or Robichaux as AD and get rid of almost everyone else. Will it happen? No. Will we ever have a decent athletic program from fall through spring? No. With that said, the only thing I fear is that when the spring coaches eventually leave for a big payday the university will hire a mediocre softball and baseball coach and then we will have nothing.

How is the university opening itself up to a lawsuit? That is by far the craziest thing I have ever heard. Lee got a extension after one year and drove this program into the ground!

It's called the "Jerry Baldwin" offense. Bustle signs a one-year extension. Lee gets fired after this season. Lee cries RACISM. That's how.

LOL!!! For those scoring at home, this is the "glass completely empty" fan.

This a team with talent but not a lot of heart. Daigle and Johnson are men. The rest are boys. Gradnigo has no interest in anything but scoring. He could not guard my 10 yr old daughter. Bureau tries harder but he does not have the physique. 3/4 of the game they play hard and like a team. The rest of the game they take off. Tulane is not very good and the Cajuns made them look good.

NEWSFLASH PEOPLE : Not every black coach who gets fired sues the University! And if he does, he won't get anything. Lee is actually a stand up, nice, down to earth guy. Toothpick guy was different.

Seriously people, we need to step back and take a deep breath. We are starting to sound a little uneducated. CJR3888 you could not have said it any better.

I agree that Lee's a nice guy, but no one really expected Baldwin to file suit when he did, either.

One thing ive have notices and others have mentioned is that, we dont have a muther F-HER out there, u need a muther F-HER to lock up on whoever, no one on this team, well i like the way Daigle plays D, he is always playing HARD, real HARD, i wish Daigle was 6'5", he would be a beast, not saying he is not good, yall no what I mean, he heart and desire to win is tremendous. I see this in TJ this year as well. Man we had some muther F-her over the years that played bigger then what they were. Laurie Bridges for one the guy was 6'2", but played like he was 6'6", I love playing with that guy, he could rebound, one thing he was good at was setting HARD Legal SCREENS, to free me and TOINE up for lots of THrees.... This is just a run of bad luck this team is going through, these guys go out and play hard and do what they can, sometimes IMO if you think or have any doubt you could have done one more lil thing during the game, shame on you, you leave it all out there no matter what the game.... Man i know i just went off on different things but man, I HATE LOSIN, and hate losin in the DOME, not a home man, not at home!!!! _
Last night was the first time I've been able to watch them play in a few weeks. I was impressed with the effort. They look like they are playing harder than they were last year and maybe even earlier this year, and they are much more active on the court than they were. I believe that last year's team would have collapsed under that 16pt deficit, and if not collapsed, surely not have come all the way back by halftime, if at all.

But I have to agree with you about having a ball-buster out there. This team is way short on tough players...too many of them play soft. However, I think a problem bigger than the lack of physical toughness is the lack of mental toughness. There were way too many mistakes down the stretch...not only were they not able to ride on, and build, momentum to stretch the lead even more, they allowed Tulane to come back. Some of the worst passes of the game were made down the stretch and Tulane turned them over. How about that inbounds pass with about 7-9 minutes to go, I think after a fast break layup...the inbounder (Gradnigo?) wasn't paying attention and threw it right to the guy guarding him. It was almost like he handed the ball to him.

Perhaps being mentally tough just isn't in the cards for some of these guys. Perhaps there is a severe discipline problem in the program. Judging from what I saw last night, and from what we've all seen over the past couple years, I have to lean toward the latter. It's so frustrating because you want them to win and be successful, but there are times like last night where it seems like just when they take a step forward, they take two or more back.

We killed ourselves with lazy passing down the stretch.
