Cajuns, Tulane renew rivalry tonight
The rest of the story
For the first time in 62 years Tulane visits the city of Lafayette. Louisiana hosts the Green Wave on Monday, Dec. 21 at the Cajundome in a 7:05 p.m., contest.
● Monday's game marks the first trip by the Green Wave to Lafayette since Jan. 24, 1947. It also marks the first-ever meeting in the Cajundome.
● The two programs meet for just the second time since 1958.
● December has been good to the Ragin' Cajuns - UL is 3-2. It's been unpleasant for the Green Wave - Tulane is 0-4.
● The Cajuns are 0-2 vs. Conference USA this season (swept by Southern Miss). Tulane is 0-2 vs. Sun Belt teams this season (lost to UNO and WKU).
● Louisiana looks for its second straight victory at the Cajundome. UL downed Florida Atlantic 81-74 in the last outing in the facility.
● It's a busy holiday stretch for the Cajuns. Last Saturday's game at Lamar began a stretch of six games in 14 days.
● Louisiana went 2-4 in the first round of non-conference action. In the second segment, UL has split two games losing at Southern Miss and winning at Lamar. The Cajuns enter the Tulane game with a 3-5 non-conference mark.
● The 500-point watch is on for Tyren Johnson - he's only 18 shy.
● The Cajuns are getting to the free throw line, averaging 24.0 attempts per game.
● Chris Gradnigo is beginning to find his groove. In the last two games he's scored 16 each time and shot 11-of-25 from the floor (44%).

Coach speak for when we beat the very poor UL team it will be a major road victory for Tulane.Originally Posted by Tulane head basketball Coach Dave Dickerson

Coach Lee, please do us all a favor by packing your bags and leaving ASAP.
