Perhaps you enjoy sucking in s sucking conference?

Additionally my original comments were about YOU Marlin supporters coming unglued after he lost to BrokeBack U and NWST. At that time I told y'all to calm down. Bobby Boy has reaced his personal Peter Principle level.

I was roundly critized by the True Belivers. Better to be 23 &12 going to NCAA. Seems you can be good and do both. Today y'all spinnig how nice it is to buy yet another post season game. Gee Bobby be going to post season three out of his first five.
I'll repeat myself. No. We wouldn't be in the conversation.

See Stephen F. Austin. See Buffalo.
Not. In. The. Conversation had they lost in their conference tournament.

Did any mid majors get an at large bid besides Wichita State (a non football school)? If there were, it was few. That does not mean the goal of competing for at large bids is not one we should attain to and it is not impossible. However, it is very difficult as evidenced by the very few schools who did get them. My support for accepting the bid has nothing to do with the staff good or bad. The result Saturday was disappointing and nothing will change that going forward. My view is that the tournament does provide the opportunity to continue to develop the team going forward, just like playing in a minor bowl does for a big school.

I've been vocal Marlin supporter by saying he deserved opportunity to build off last year. Now that the season is done and has 99% of all his contributors coming back next year, if he doesn't win 20+ D-1 games and NCAA bid, time to pack his bags.

As far as this tournament, no one in their right mind should consider this a true postseason appearrance.

I never disputed any of your facts.
I never said they wouldn't lose money. The Cajuns lose money everytime they step onto the basketball court.

I don't understand why you feel the need to go out of your way to crap on a tournament that our basketball team is playing in.
I comprehend enough to know that you constantly play butt hurt when you don't like what someone else has stated. There is nothing of value in playing this game, especially traveling to a SLC program. There is no prestige for this program in playing in the CIT and spending money when you tell everyone you can't afford to buy home games against mid-major programs each season. You aren't being rewarded for your season playing in this tournament. And you play this game at the risk of losing to another SLC program and being 0-3 on the season. That certainly won't help this program in recruiting either. I understand Coach Marlin's reasons for wanting to play this game, but it brings no prestige to this program.

We played in this tournament after winning 15 games several years ago. Your comparison is not even close.
    This is a different arguement.

You have only discussed dollars and cents in the university's pocket. You, not me, said we should not participate in any postseason that doesn't bring home the bacon. And I showed you proof that the NO Bowl did not make UL any money.

Edit: Should note that I'm not trying to take away from the fball team and beating a good Nevada team. Strictly discussing finances

I discussed both, value and money. You brought up the bowl which is earned. I call that a poor comparison. Again, if Coach Marlin wants to play the game fine. But there is no argument in that it brings little value or prestige to your program.

Happy not being able to argue the injustice because we truly don't have that argument.

So clearly they are using lots more smoke and mirrors to take care of the P5. But we still suck, SFAustin 2nd year in a row 12 seed. Actually that is what I asked we reach. Nobody said 12 Ain't good enough to get in.

We lost our semi. Looked awful doing it. Nice try to cover up our monumental fail.

So what you saying. See,see let's be bad in a bad conference beause it is all the same in the end. Guess what? In the end it is a futil trip for all but one.

By all means let's not pull an LTU R.

Oh, wait. Seems it really didn't hurt them. They keel hulled us last year.

If your resume consist of anything other then NCAA or NIT post season appearances, then you are selling mediocrity.

    I understand.

I just feel that as long as a few NCAA appearances are sprinkled in, recruits are not going to nit pick post season appearances.

Neither will opponent recruiters if they can't make the same claim. Or I should say they will remain silent on the issue, if they can't toute consecutive NCAA appearances of their own.
