With the Sun Belt Conference opener done, the Ragin' Cajuns are set to begin the final segment of non-conference play beginning Tuesday, Dec. 15 at Southern Miss.

● The game with the Golden Eagles marks the first of five games from Dec. 15-28 to wrap up non-conference play for the season.

● Louisiana went 2-4 in the first round of non-conference action. Included was a 79-72 loss to Southern Miss in the season opener on Nov. 14.

● The Cajuns are riding a two-game win streak into Hattiesburg. During the streak the team is playing its best offense of the season, averaging 88 points per game.

● Tuesday's game completes a home-and-home with USM. The last time UL played a home-and-home with a non-conference foe was 2006-07 (Cal State Fullerton).

● UL has four active players averaging double figures scoring.

● The Cajuns are getting to the free throw line, averaging 28.0 attempts per game.

● Keep an eye on the boards. In the season opener USM outrebounded the Cajuns by a 2-to-1 margin (40-20). USM averages 40.0 rebounds and gives up only 29.1.

● The two teams can score - UL averages 74.0 points; USM averages 75.3. Each team has four players averaging double figures.

● Tyren Johnson has scored 20-plus the last two games (career-high 31 at Sam Houston State, then 23 vs. Florida Atlantic).
