Good to see that we get another big dog to come to the Swamp.
5 home games = pathetic
I like the schedule. Lots of big money games. Should also give those young QBs some good learning experience.
It's actually simple mathematics. Follow me here.
4 away conference games
2 away money games
1 away IOU game that was overdue
Which of the contracts do we break to satisfy those dissatisfied? Perhaps someone on here can come up with $700,000 to $800,000 so we don't have to schedule 2 money games. Any takers???
Notice no 1-AAs.
I understand the frustration about five home games. but, when you schedule home and home series, add in guarantee games, and play your conference schedule we will have years where we will only have five home games. This is a result of being a financially limited lower level D-IA program. I imagine if the RCAF grows we will possibly see this change.
I can walk to the home games from where I reside. I don't care who they play. I will be there.
You people whining about this schedule need to shut up.
Nobody plays fewer money games than we do in this conference.
Nobody plays fewer FCS schools than we do in this conference.
The '09 and '10 schedules combined have 11 home games with 2 of those being BCS home games.
You know how many times that has happenned in the past?
ZERO
If 5 isn't enough, make a road trip. Both ULM & Ole Miss are drivable from Laf. No different the trips I made to USM & Troy from Pensacola this year. You also get to meet great people, both our fans & theirs. At FAU I sat next to a couple who hadnt been to a UL game in over a decade. They actually lived in the midwest but were in town visiting friends & decided to go.
I already have plans to attend the first four games in 2009. For me they're all "road" games.
