Saints still need to get cap # down, right now Brees hits them for 26.5MM in 2015 Cap. If they trade him, that cap # goes up to 33.5 MM. There is a much better chance of Brees getting cut than ever getting traded.

I 100% agree its bull, but for shiggles, they have 2 really, really good WR's and a good RB. I would think long term plans wouldn't be the force behind this type of move, rather striking while the irons hot.

Winston should not be compared to Russell. He has been overly impressive on the field in just about every aspect, obviously off the field not so much. Russell, only had one good game against Notre Dame. That was it. He was drafted by Al Davis who was deteriorating physically and mentally and had multiple years of horrible picks in the draft. Winston and Russell's college careers on the field are not even close to being compared.
