I did read that the Saints were going after Brandon Browner!

Hawk, how you feeling about this?

The pass in the Super Bowl would have gone to him.

Possibly...I think he would still get pushed off the ball and it get intercepted. That's just me.

Ironic he ends up going to the team that exposed his soft underbelly.

As for the less than stellar run blocking....

Don't get me wrong; he was a Saint and I'm a homer.

But I saw him filling Colstons shoes, not competing with Gronk for best TE label

for all ya ll saints fan saddened by this trade, take heart in the fact that your not a die hard REDSKINS fan like me. The 80's, 90 was great. The year 2000 onward has sucked to hell.

Trade Rob Ryan to Chargers for Ledarius Green. All problems willbe solved!!

I'm fine with the trade. I never wanted to pay him anyway. But the destination and compensation is reprehensible. Late 1st round pick and a veteran center? Ridiculous. We found a guy off the scrap heap and he started for this team, and performed well for 3 years. Paid him nothing. I realize that won't always happen, but we have away a game impacting player..

Also, you trade him to an NFC team that has dominated the Saints for years, and would stand in your way to a Super Bowl? That's extremely bad long term judgement IMO.

That's right! Seahawks now have someone that can catch a one yard pass!

I respectfully disagree. I hate losing Graham, but one of the Saints biggest problem the last couple of seasons has been an offensive line allowing pressure up the middle on the QB and lack of run blocking in the middle of the line. Hopefully getting a Pro Bowl center will solve both those issues. If it does, it will more than make up for the loss of Jimmy. Especially if Ben Watson and Josh Hill continue performing as they have in their limited action.

Seahawks DC is now HC in Atlanta, he knows how to stop jimmy, we are obviously looking to be able to run the ball more. This puts every guy in that locker room on notice, including #9... Nobody is untouchable. It's not the perfect deal or anything but it's not the worst IMO. We don't know what impact he had in locker room since being paid either.
