Astros Announce 2016 Houston College Classic

We need to have basketball on the road that weekend. Also do not need to worry about weather in Houston now as minute maid has a roof.

There is no heater in the Park. It was darn cold in there.

This is awesome! I loved going to the Astros College Classic. If I remember right, we played there 2 years in a row and have not been back in 10+ years.

I was there Saturday. The first two games were played with the roof open in 58-60 degree weather. They played the last game with the roof closed. A slight chill from a breeze, but other than than, great temps.

Those Florida folks just don't get the idea of having to heat anything up. I'm okay with being cold just as long as I'm not cold and wet...thus the roof is nice.

Well that explains it. It never dawned on me that they wouldn't bother to heat the place, but it makes perfect sense.

As an Astros fan, it pains me to say it but why bother heating the place. It's not like they are gonna be playing any baseball there past September anyways.
