    UL Softball NFCA Poll 3-3-2015

"In another top-5 matchup, the Crimson Tide (15-4) took two-of-three at home from then-No. 5 Louisiana. Alabama opened the series with a 5-1 win, but the final two contest were one-run affairs as the Tide were edged, 2-1 in the Saturday night cap before topping the Ragin’ Cajuns’ 3-2 Sunday on a walk-off sacrifice fly."

Cajuns fall from 6 to 7. Overall a good showing and need to put a severe ___ whooping on South AL this weekend. I hope the weather is better there than it is suppose to be here.

We also get a shot at two more top ten teams this year. Baylor at home and Oregon on the road. This is a tough schedule but it will really help come selection time.

Schedule not tough. But we proved ourselves last year and will host a Super.

Playing 3 weekend series against top ten teams is a pretty tough schedule compared to the rest of the Sunbelt. We play another ranked team this weekend for a three game series and will probably have to play them again in the Conference tournament.

If we were in a P5 conference we woul play ten or eleven series like this. Those series would balance between home and away. The umps would be more unbiased.

To their credit they do have three wins against ranked teams. They beat #23 Notre Dame twice and #13 Arizona once. I'm not too worried about it though, they are gonna lose some games in conference. The SEC is stacked this year.

I don't see many people bragging at the other 14 wins that we have on the year.

Anyone remember two seasons ago? We were a host, and they made the regionals elsewhere. Their path was a cake walk, and we had to go to Arizona. Sometimes the best laid plans.....?

If the Cajuns take care of business we will be a national seed, and Ellis Who will too most likely. It will be nice to send them home from OkCity.
