    Neat story. My wife graduated high school with Batiste.

    Great to see another UL player doing good in the NFL.

    Excellent article. He sounds like a great person. Coach Bustle needs to bring him in to speak to the team. We need former players like this involved with the team even if its only just coming back to relate their experiences to help motivate the current players.

    I actually played ball with D'Anthony at Marksville High for four years. He's a down-to-earth, nice guy. Kind of reminds me of "Peanut" in how he's still just a regular guy that loves to play the game. I agree that I think Coach Bustle needs to get guys like Peanut, D'Anthony, Ike Taylor, CC Brown, Jake, and Brandon Stokely to become more involved in with the team and community. We need to capitalize on our success. As much as I want to cheer on D'Anthony this week, I have to pull for my Saints to go 12-0.

    D'Anthony Batiste was released by the Redskins a couple of days ago.
