Mike, I'm not sure where the team goes from here. Depends on if the guys are motivated to play. They definitely have more confidence.

TJ told me the other day after the LSU loss to not give up on them and that they would turn it around. I told him he would have to lead the way, and he said he would do his best.

Andrews hadn't played that much all season. He didn't even play against LSU. I saw enough of him as a prep senior to know he could contribute in a positive way if given a chance this season. He's not flashy but is solid in so many ways and doesn't need the ball to make an impact - a big difference compared to some of his teammates. He helps his cause as he and McCoy are the team's lone true point guards.

Message received. I just remember the SLC as not being very good with basketball but if they put 92 on Kentucky this is a good team. Perhaps General Lee can get this team going?

That has been a concern of mine too.

I'll tell you who I really think was a better coach when he had no choices on the bench and that was John Brady.

One good win and we're back to calling this guy General?

Tyren Johnson named Mid-Major Stud of the Day by FOXSports.com's Jeff Goodman.

How amusing. It'll be interesting to see if the praise generating from this board will help the team play consistently well and the coaches coach better. It's going to take more than one road win to convince me that these players have developed enough character and gained enough intelligence to be successful this season. They have a lot of work to do.

A big difference compared to most players on most basketball courts period. I'm looking forward to seeing him play...

It is sad that we have come so low that a good win is over an SLC team. I doubt that we could win the SLC, much less the SBC. How sad a state UL basketball is now - both men's and women's.

I will say this, it was a fun game to listen to.

Jay was in rare form considering he was so out of practice.

I had fun because THEY were having fun. Seeing the joy at the end on their collective faces was a good thing.

And to use "General Lee", the name of a car with a confederate flag on the hood or even the confederate general himself, is .. um .. stupid.

Sometimes it takes someone else to point out your faults before you notice them. What have I become?
