lsu&a&mc@br won a national championship in a year in which they had two losses. By definition, they were not the best team in the country on two fall Saturdays. No one said they didn't 'deserve' to win it, just that them even being there required an inordinate number of dominos to all fall in exactly the right pattern. The dominos cooperated, and the tigers took care of business on the field in the NC game.

By the same token, if the Cajuns should happen to get a bowl this year because the stars all align properly, then they 'deserve' the bowl, precisely for the same reason that lsu&a&mc@br 'deserved' to be in the NC game: They met the qualifications and they were invited. _

It never ceases to amaze me why there is this faction of Cajun fans who think you have to choose between them and LSU. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If they were rivals it might make some sense. But since that will never happen, it's ridiculous. I love the Cajuns. I love LSU. But if idiots like you insist that I make a choice I'll take the national championships.
