I wanted to say the same thing. Same old, same old over and over again, while we watch lesser schools that haven't been in Div 1 very long pass us up.

its like beating a dead horse about these same topics. I dont know what it will take for administration to make the right descisions. lee's job was in question, less than 10 games in he gets beat twice by 2 ____ poor teams. he should be terminated tomm morning in an effort to somehow save this season. would be interesting to see if someone can bring this program back from the dead

I have to say this is one of the more honest an truthfull statements I've read. some people just don't want to see the positives an always bring up the negative. The kids play hard for Bustle and themselves they don't give a hut about some plug who spends his day making 20 posts a day on this page.. Support your program get off your soap box an quit downing the coaching staff when they are at least getting you in a position to have a chance to get to a bowl game. an this is with the team having to play 2 to 3 money games a year. I can understand the basketball coaching situation that is bad an i hear yall on that one but football give the negative stuff a rest.

I apologize for the harsh words. I just see this thing building. It is taking a little longer. I have always heard that we just need to compete in football and that would be a positive step because of a stinky history. Well wake
we are competing and winning games. Not as many as we would like. But
you have to win 6 on a regular basis before you get to 7. Well we are pretty
good at getting to 6. Now lets build on that and get to seven. You see what Coach Bustle is doing is building a program. Wake up. This was supposed to be a tough year. Look at what we lost. Guess what is was
a good year. Lets all take a deep breathe and enjoy what we have.

my question is why do we always consider 6-6 a great year? Nobody ever said anything about kids or bashed any of the kids. as long as people consider 6-6 a good year, this program/athletic dept will NEVER EVER move forward. Bustle has done a good job of bring the program back to where it is, but just unsure if he can move if any further. As far as im concerned, we have set the bar at 6 wins and if that is accomplished, it is suppose to be great if we achieve it. Raise the bar!

If you can't stand a negative post, then maybe you shouldn't come to this forum, because it's not just for people writing positive, feel good, lovey dovey posts. Also, there is no need to get personal against anyone on the team or any fan.

I am not satisfied with 6-6. I was at the game, and we played with some heart, but it wasn't all that impressive. Yes, I like the way we came back, but we shouldn't have been down 24-0 in the second qtr. in the first place. Ok, so we are better than we were 8 years ago, but that's not saying much. It's not easy to succeed at our level in football, but we should not be satisfied with mediocrity. Troy is a decent football team, but who did they beat this year that was any good? Exactly, no one.

I am ready for a new direction, and a renewed higher commitment to the football program. All this talk about what could have happened or what should have happened if we did this or if we did that, is not reality. Wishful thinking will not get us a bowl bid.

It's the end of the football season, and now it's time to reflect, and review on this past years performance. I am not down on our players, they put in hard work and gave us much to be proud of. Thanks to all the Seniors for being Ragin Cajuns.

My question is this...do you believe we will win more than 6 games next year? Before you answer remember next years schedule is much tougher with 0 gimmee wins like Southern. We go to georgia, ole miss, and Ohio who plays for the MAC title on the road and Ok state at home. I do not think 6 wins is feasible so do you let Bustle finish off his contract when you dont believe he can get to the 7+ win mark or do you make a change now?

My thinking is Bustle has done a great job of getting us to 6 wins but i think that is his peak. With that said I do not believe that it is all on the field coaching that is causing this plateau. I do not believe he is recruiting the type of kids that will take us further than 6 wins. And you don't have to re ruit thugs like Troy to get these playmakers bc Middle does it. He has 8 years to get playmakers in here and frankly Green is our only big time playmaker.

With all that said I don't see a change being made simply bc of the way basketball was handled. I guess we will just have to wait till next year!

Thanks for your advice. I've attended almost every Cajun home football game since 1965. I know the history of our football program. For the size and history of our school, we are underachieving. Yes, our young men did play hard last night, but as a program we are not close to where we should be. The season is over an now is the time to access. I consider your opinion to be valuable, so I will not ask you to drop dead.
