Having acknowledged that, I just think it is unacceptable that everyone is not playing the game by the same rules. Not having to worry about the APR is a huge advantage to those schools in that they can take chances on kids. All they have to worry about is keeping them eligible during the season. If they do not make progress or flunk out of or leave school the next semester they don't have to worry about suffering consequences such as loss of scholarships. They just go out and get another stud athlete / marginal student to replace him. It does give those teams and edge that they might not have otherwise. _
