Let's face it -- Microsoft upset a lot of Windows users by removing the Start menu in Windows 8. Microsoft is set to bring back both the Start menu, as well as a new Start screen with Windows 10, but the menu will not look or behave the same exact way like it did on Windows 7.
The folks over at Stardock, thinking three steps ahead, have released Start10_as a Beta, a software that emulates the Windows 7 Start menu, while offering a host of additional customization options. Start10_adds a classic or 'enhanced' Start menu to Windows 10, offering unified search for apps, settings, and files, as well as allowing users to access the desktop and modern apps from the Start menu. On the customization side, you can skin the Start button to your preferred liking.
