If the dam school doesn't market the absolute bejesus out of this game, they are insane or a lost cause. Can you think of a better opportunity to make a statement?

Is the school going to let Acadiana know what is on the line? Your average Joe doesn't have a clue. Pump it up and advertise and we will have 25,000.

I think some of the players are promoting the game on the radio etc.

If you see, hear or read a commercial, promo or anything else originating from UL that's promoting this weekends potential season extending matchup vs Troy please post it here.

I listen to Walton and Johnson in the mornings on the way to work and unfortunetly they are on 98.1 which means I have to hear commercials about LSUA&M@BR. Not so much their football team but they have been running alot of ads aobut investing in higher education, and LSUA&M@BR.

I think UL should put together a package and buy some air time in the Lafayette market and do something similar. Promote UL (the school, the Athletics, etc.)

I have not heard or seen alot of promoting of the game this weekend.

Well just to put everyone in loop of whats going on UL's campus to promote it... NOTHING is going on. Yea, the university did put up the usual generic black signs here and there to promote "A home game this Saturday" but that's pretty much it. It's sad to see that the university seems to be settling with the fact that its a holiday weekend and a lot of students will be heading out of town. Honestly, that's one BIG lame excuse to do NOTHING to promote a BIG game. Call it what you will:
The last game of the season
The last home game of the season
    Senior Night
The last college football game for some graduating students
    A chance to go 7-5
A change to beat Troy, a big name in the Sun Belt
The last final push to get ourselves into the list to go to a bowl game possibly
I could go on, and on
As a student of the university I will surely be at the game, just like I have been at all the previous games, even lasts weekend's game with the miserable weather.

Since I do not live in Lafayette, does receiving a text message saying that the team's practices have been going well count ?

This is the root of our many problems.. Not rallying the troops on campus. Students drive fanbases. I say it all the time. More proof that there folks don't have a clue how to run an athletic program.
