Lee is basketballs version of Baldwin...McNeese will destroy us on Saturday!

This entire program is a joke. We are hideous in almost all sports now and it makes me sick. The BB games used to be so much fun when I was there, now we let Lee destroy that as well. Thanks administration!

If I'm reading this right, is one of our players admitting to not giving the best effort possible? Shouldn't a coach realize or see this and light a fire under the players butts?

Lack of coaching + lack of effort from players = disappointed Cajun Nation!!

I'm sure there will not be many Cajun fans traveling to watch this "joke" of a bb team
Saturday night. With the effort put out last night, I would not travel an hour to watch them play. The football team will be playing at the same time, with at least a chance to have a winning record.

The basketball conference season hasn't even started yet, and it is already going up
in smoke. To think we use to have such a strong, proud program.

I stopped posting a while back because I didn't have anything nice to say. I love this school and just do not understand the acceptance of teams like our basketball team. We have a coach who NEVER should have been hired, but was hired only because someone at UL didn't do their homework about the coach Lee replaced. I'm sorry but I just had to post in this thread.

Robert Lee should have been hired on a one year contract and then the job should have been put up for new applications. This was not done because nobody really cares about our success.

It is time that Robert Lee and Ricky Bustle be allowed to reapply for their own jobs. If they choose to put their hats into the pot, and they are the best coaches then we hire them back. If not, we thank them for their work at UL and move on. If they don't want to reapply then we thank them for their work and move on. Either way we get a new coach (they surely would not hire either of them back) and the programs would then have a chance to move forward.

I know both Lee and Bustle. They are both very nice people. I would hate to see them move out of Lafayette, but it's time to make some changes.

Okay, enough said, I'll go crawl back into the hole from which I came!

We are in a very disheartening situation. I was not at the game but was told that these guys just didn't play very hard and were not ready. Is it just me or do we tend to get guys with lots of talent and see them have a nice freshman year to only regress through their career? Guys like Gradnigo and Bureau along with others seem to have not improved at all and actually seem to be playing worse. We waited for Gradnigo to bust out last year and he never did. I won't even go into how these guys consistently tend to play with no emotion, heart or toughness and they just don't carry the "winners" attitude of supporting their teammates through the course of a game. I really hope this administration just cuts bait with Lee and starts the search.
