I'll also add another one in there from the Pac 10, We need Arizona State to beat Arizona If that happens then that puts Zona at 6-5 and having to beat USC on the road to get to 7-5, this could give us yet another team to leap frog if they happen to get in the "at large" pool. _

That's a good point. The PAC 10 has six bowl slots with 7 bowl eligible teams so their bowls are covered, plus one will be left out in the cold unless they get to 7 wins. So yes, if Arizona loses out, they will be 6-6 as well. I do think it's more likely that UCLA will lose to USC, rather than Arizona lose to both Arizona State and USC. But at least that gives us another one to watch.

_ Duke is officially out. Their win over North Carolina Central does not count because NCC is only a provisional member of FCS, not a full member. That means they only have 4 wins that count towards bowl eligibility and they can only get to 5. So they are out.

The ACC only has one open slot in the GMAC because the EagleBank Bowl has a contingency agreement with the MAC. The MAC only has 3 tie-ins but they already have 4 bowl eligible teams (Central Michigan 9-2, Temple 9-2, Ohio 8-3, Northern Illinois 7-4) so the Eaglebank slot will be filled by a MAC team. _

ESPN shows em as not eliminated from bowl competition. Richmond was a loss. They have only one win against a non BCS team. I think it counts. Everything Ive seen has em still eligible.

Makes sense about the Eaglebank bowl. So all we have to worry about is the GMAC Bowl.

Kentucky to beat Tennessee (6-5)
USC to beat UCLA (6-5)
Tulane to beat SMU (6-5)
Middle Tenn to beat ULM (6-5)
Stanford to beat Notre Dame (6-5) Not sure if Notre Dame has to be 7-5 or 6-6 for tie-ins

Five Win Teams that we want to LOSE
Missouri to beat Kansas (5-6)
Syracuse to beat Connecticut (5-5)
UCF to beat UAB (5-6)

In order of the most likely bowl bid for UL if UL wins against Troy:
1. New Orleans Bowl if Troy opts out for GMAC Bowl.
2. Texas or Independence Bowl if Nebraska beats Texas in the Big XII championship game or Okla St. is an at-large bid for a BCS game and the Big XII cannot fulfill all 8 bowl slots.
3. GMAC Bowl as the ACC will have 2 bowl slots open and this is more likely
4. Eaglebank Bowl this is the other ACC bowl that the ACC will not fulfill
5. Little Ceaser Bowl as the Big X will have 1 or 2 bowl bid slots open
6. New Mexico Bowl as the MWC will have 2 open slots open
7. Humanitarian Bowl as this is the other MWC bowl slot open

You may have misunderstood what I was saying. I know there's a rule where the bowls have to take a 7-win team over a six-win team, but, I can absolutley assure you, that rule does not apply to Notre Dame, like it or not...
