Thread: Real or Memorex?

    Default Real or Memorex?

Tired of reading all the scenarios. There is a lot to be said about controlling our own destiny and beating Troy at the Swamp because it is the right thing to do. Since we beat Kansas State they went on to beat Iowa State, Texas A & M, Colorado and Kansas.

This goes for the all of the UL faithful. Do we need to invite Southern on Saturday to put some butts in the seats for this big game?

P.S. Those that scout teams that advance to bowls think highly of those programs with a fan base. Another half empty stadium might not be too impressive even with seven wins.

This would be a great game to invite the high school kids for say $5 a ticket to our game. If they come out, see a packed stadium and great tailgating and a hopeful UL win, this will not only help the game atmosphere and send a message to any bowl people who will surely be there, but it will help build a bond with these kids to start following UL. It is also a good time to get these kids involved in UL football as LSU is starting to implode. Let's see what happens when they lose again, to Arkansas. We can make this a win-win for UL.

Its a good idea but I think the ncaa has restrictions on discounted tickets. Never discount the ncaa's ability to stand in the way of a good idea especially if it involves mid-majors broadening their fanbase and increasing revenue.

I have a Question Re: Real or Memorex?

How about a ticket reimbursement night?

or just check with Southern and see if we can't borrow their band for the night. That could get the crowd pumped up.

I'm pretty sure their team and band will be busy at the Bayou Classic in N.O. on Saturday!

I will be offering free Caddilacs to fans in the parking lot prior to the game...

...but you can paper the house with kids in eighth grade and below and their parents. The problem is Thanksgiving break. Somebody should have thought about this a long time ago. The attendance vs. ULM was nothing short of embarrassing.
