Was listening on Radio Pup, kept fading in and out. Also had a lot of static at times. Jay and Stevie P and cast ALL, deserves better! New equipment, D-!

Women's basketball lost, so we went 4-2 today.

We could not this to UTA the first time because the guys let their tough shooting night affect their defense. In the last two games, a strong defensive first half were keys to the victory. That is very encouraging, especially tonight as UTA has more fire power than Texas State. In tonight's game, we had a big enough lead we survived the usual drop off in the last few minutes. Other than Register getting the team off to a hot start, keys were Jay Wright with his third good overall game in a row and Shawn Long dominating the boards in the 2nd half. Jay Walker has said the Cajuns win when Wright plays well. Last three times, he has been right. Wright is nearing the end of his sophomore year so he maybe the inconsistency is not as much of a factor. Of course, with our luck, saying that may doom him for the next game. That is next Saturday night at home against Georgia Southern.

You would think they would have corrected this by this late in the year.
A lot of 'static' on the line as well. So much for the 'clear' broadcasting.
    Cajuns deserve better.
Yep - lot's of lag and delay in that broadcast. Wasn't their best effort.

If Jay Wright and Shepherd could just slow down and be under control at point when the game is hectic, we would be really good.

At some times, they both try to force tempo and make bad turnovers.

If they eliminate that, then we win the tourney.

Darn...I'm headed to BR to jump off....naw, 4-2 is still respectable, and I don't live in Lake Charles. Life is good.

I don't know about winning the tournament but I agree that the team still commits too many turnovers. That and too many missed free throws are what kept tonight's game from being a blowout. The turnovers are why Devonta Walker lost his starting spot to Bryce Washington. I expect the team is simply in a free throw slump as they are around 70% on the year. Turnovers should still not be this high this late in the year. Now they were somewhat effective in breaking the press tonight as Register got a couple of his early threes after the press was broken and Shawn got some inside baskets in the second half when the press was broken. Let's hope that continues and the turnover no. comes down. Defense is heading in the right direction. If turnovers do as well, they may finish on a little run.

    Conference Standings

    1.ULM 12-4
    1.GA Southern 12-4
    1.GA State 12-4
    4.Louisiana 10-7
    5.UT-Arlington 9-7

We have a bye next Thursday. The we host Georgia Southern Saturday night. We need to win this game to stay in 4th place to receive a bye in the conference tournament.
    Remaining schedule:
Saturday, Feb. 28 GA Southern - Cajundome
Thursday, Mar. 5 UALR - Cajundome
Saturday, Mar. 7 Arkansas St. - Jonesboro

I don't know what we've been averaging, but from the games I've attended it's about 3,500.
It would be nice to have 4,500 or more for next Saturday.

It's as if the signal goes over the internet and the computer has to buffer every 30 seconds; thus, the dead air.

Guard play is crucial. They are still committing too many turnovers for this point in the season. One would think Kasey would be playing a little better. He is a junior and this is his third year in the program.

If they eliminate that, then we win the tourney.

Kasey and Wright did have too many turnovers. However, the three main guards (Shepherd, Register and Wright) all hit double figures last night. When that happens the Cajuns have a great shot to win.
