Also, K state will not go to a bowl game, they maybe 6-6 but two wins came from 1AA opponents. We made Kstate stay home!

don't forget the little caesars pizza bowl and the gmac bowl.... i think each have at least one slot open and i think the gmac has 2 at the present moment. now we play the "if" game. if we win this weekend and if the bowl slots stay the way they are now, i have a feeling that mtsu gets a bid from the caesars bowl up in detroit, troy gets a bid to go to the gmac in mobile, and we get the bid to the NOLA bowl. just my thoughts on all the ifs that are in place this weekend.
All this talk is useless. When/if we beat Troy, then you can begin to look at what happens with bowl openings. Until then, you're setting yourselves up for a huge let down.
I would rather we all talk about how we are going to beat a really good Troy team this Saturday than get caught up in bowl talk.
BEAT TROY!
Actually, it is somewhat speculated that if we beat Troy, they will still win conference but may be getting an invite to not only the N.O. Bowl but the GMAC bowl or possibly the papajohns.com bowl. Either way, if they were to take one of those because it is closer to their home, we seem like the frontrunners to get an invite to the N.O. bowl but that would be pure speculation and a very big IF because we have to beat Troy to see it.
No they dont. Indy bowl only has slot filled if Kansas beats Mizzou.

Troy is much better than K State was when we played them. They were still looking for a QB and kicker at that time. If the Cajuns beat Troy, that will be the best team a Rickey Bustle squad defeats. I think they are better than the Houston team we beat in 2006. That Cougar team had some defensive problems. Troy has the speed of MT with some good athletic bodies on both sides of the ball. That is not to say we can't win. We will have to play to our utmost potential and have the Trojans make a few mistakes.
ACC definetly will have one spot open. Thats the GMAC Bowl. Helps us if Duke loses, then they have 2 spots open. Thats always helps.

As you can see SEC has fulfilled their gargantuan bowl slots of 10.

If UCONN loses both their final games, they can miss out leaving a Big East hole. Lets hope Syracuse can pull off the upset, and then for USF to finish the job. But if they can get eligible, they have fullfilled their slots.

Big Ten has fulfilled their slots.

PAC 10 has also fulfilled their slots.

There ya go. BCS teams are the slots we need open. Im wondering if we show up in any projections coming soon.
Repeat that post every time someone brings up the bowl picture. Team needs to have laser like focus this week on the Trojans and nothing else. I know some say we fans have no impact on what the players focus on. I understand that point of view but I also believe in the "collective conscious" aspect of life. With that perspective, the mindset of all of us should be on nothing else but the Trojans. I mean that sports wise. Obviously family and work is our priority.
