Don't forget about Allie Mae Chenault from Sweeny and Shelbee Rodgers from Central High in BR. Chenault throws in the high 60s and Rodgers has good stuff.

Next year's battle to see who's going to be that third arm is going to be really special. All three do different things, so I could see all three seeing action very early in the season, if they're ready. It does take some adjustment going from high school to college.

If we can find some more power in our line-up we will be CWS bound next year.

Having both can be deadly. But, you can't help notice that teams that made it to the CWS have a majority of sluggers to go along with their great pitching. 75% of the batters were capable of timing a fat pitch and sending a pop fly or line drive over the fence. I don't think UL can go the route of recruiting majority sluggers and offset the lack of fielding ability and speed. We do need one or two free swingers in the lineup that can at least drive balls to the wall. We'll do well with the batting style used... against the SBC... and most of the nation... but if we want to get back to the WCWS... we have to add some power hitting. A super dominant pitcher, healthy, can also just about write your ticket.

We dont need more power hitting, we need more consistent power hitting.

We need less times we see bases loaded and no one out and end up scoring 0 runs from it...

We need less times we see a Cormier or a Gaspard or Murphy standing on 2B and left stranded...

We need our power hitters to be consistent. The problem isnt the slappers, its been stranding base runners. The big bats struggled last season scoring runners in scoring position. This must be fixed. Pitching wont be a problem next season, however the offense needs to show up consistently.
