If the coaching moves pan out as expected, it would mean three-quarters of the Cajuns coaching staff were coaching in the national championship game two years ago. Even with the relatively youthful Harbin, it would also give the Cajuns a highly experienced group.
----Hey and don't forget that for the offensive coaches---this isn't their first walk around the block---After having the QB, RB, OL, and WR coaches together for 4 -5 years, it makes a difference!!! Old coaches' talk---Offensive FB is assignment FB--Defensive FB is Reaction FB---Pretty much true!!!

Nice job by Coach Hud in putting together a whole new defensive staff. Melvin Smith and Charlie Harbison will be homerun hires, scheme wise it will take some time. Both of these guys have been recruiting and competing in the SEC for years. But from a technique and player development standpoint, the secondary will be well-coached. Mike Lucas is a good hire at linbackers coach, and will recruit well. I'm not sure about Harbin the new DL coach, but the fact he was on staff with Smith and Harbison at Auburn should help scheme wise.
