MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee's defense concerned UL coach Rickey Bustle, largely because of its ability to rush the quarterback.
The Blue Raiders, who led the Sun Belt Conference with 25 sacks through the season's first nine games, added five more in Saturday's win over the Ragin' Cajuns.
"They did a nice job against us," Bustle said. "We knew that they would put a lot of pressure on us. We handled some of it good and, obviously, some of it we didn't handle very well."
UL quarterback Chris Masson had to be helped off the field after getting sacked by Jarrett Crittenton and Emmanuel Perez.
