Other than that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. UL is fighting apathy from the average LSU fan in the area but there is nothing about your facilities that aren't beyond up to standards. The baseball and softball park were actually impressive as was the indoor facility and Cajun dome. Football stadium needs minor upgrades and a little cleaning and its all good. I wish Tech had half the step up you guys do. _
    Thanks.

If you think our baseball and softball facilities are impressive. Come in the Spring when some of our upgrades are finished.

    Baseball field is getting re-turfed.

Softball stadium is getting a well deserved overhaul.

I just liked the way all the parks had the same red brick look to it. The campus had the same look. Bulldoze the student government center on the swamp. man that doesnt look good.

Already in the works. The plan is to completely rebuild the student union complex and to emphasize the swamp in the views.

I just recently visted the union and walked around the swamp.

I learned that they've gotten rid of the old bowling alley in Guillory (?) Hall.

    When did that happen?

the swamp is unique and an impressive part of the campus. the sad part was that my niece and 5 of her friends are going to the LSU LaTech game next weekend and they are all UL students. I guarantee it aint for LaTech

You're about 8 years late on that one.

Not so fast... they may have a couple of UL students that would enjoy to pull against LSU.

    One or two...

My sister says that UL wants to raise its admission standards to a 23 ACT to weed out the riff raff. I told her that kinda counters what most on here want with a larger student enrollment. She says the classes are pathetically too big to start with. Thoughts on that anyone. I know Tech has no desire to get larger even though some might want it.

The only way I can see the University getting much beyond 17,000 (it was well over 16,000 when I was there in the early '80's) they would have to find a way to add a few more buildings on campus so they could have more classes. Otherwise, the class sizes really would become way too big.
