We didn't win either game, but still had a blast.

I know some folks will think that I am wack-o , but...if we go to the N.O. bowl (with or without UL), I plan on going to two big ballgames that weekend, too. The Saints vs Cowboys game is in the Super Dome on the day before the N.O. bowl. _
If I'm not mistaken we have beaten MT the last two times we have played them up there. Been to both games watching my sons play and will be there to watch again.

Actually, its last 3 times going all the way back to 2003 when Jerry Babb broke onto the scene in one of the most intense games in UL history. In fact, since 2003, we have won 5 of our 6 meetings against MT, I don't know what it is, but UL always plays well against them.

You guys are 100% correct! Thanks for the correction. I wish I could say, Oh yeah, now I remember...but I don't. I actually had to look up the score from that year's game...apparently that didn't help either. I probably won't remember the outcome of this game either...but I will still have fun...at least that is how I plan to "remember" it.

Heck ya we'll be there picking up Granddaddy who lives in Tennessee and is 90 years old so he can see his grandson play football one last time

Just so I am clear about this...
This will be "one last time" for Granddaddy to watch the game...because your son is finishing up his college career...
NOT because Granddaddy is getting older.

If I see anyone that looks like they are an "antique" Ragin' Cajun fan, I just might come by to say "HI".
I hope you all have a great trip.

Just want to make sure that everyone knows that ALL Cajun fans coming to Murfreesboro are invited to the Hillbilly Hilton (Krewe De Blue).

Our main dish will be an entire twice-smoked country ham from our favorite BBQ joint called Kirkenburt's, with many sides. We are having a "Tennessee Traditions" tailgate.

Rumor has it that some of our Breaux Bridge Cajun friends will be preparing a gumbo on the spot, as well.

Trust me when I say this, if you are planning to be at the game. You MUST stop by the Krewe De Blue / Hillbilly Hilton to visit and meet the fine folks of Murfressboro. You will have a great time and meet many new friends.

We argue about this all the time, but MT fans are the best in the Sun Belt. They defiantly treat us the best.

This may be a dumb question, but do our ice chests need to be filled with adult beverages before entering the county??? I'm still getting used to this stupid no beer on Sundays in Atlanta.

I dont think you have to worry if you are buying beer. Everytime we go up there it is cold (under 65 degrees) so I drink whiskey. If you plan on buying hard liquor, you have to get that at a liquor store. Beer you should be able to buy at a grocery or convience store.

If you are close and can find the place, Jr's Foodland is a great place to shop. They support the local community/University much like Albertson's does here in Lafayette.
