Thread: Icegators gone again?

    Default Icegators gone again?

Is it safe to say the gators wont be here next year?

Attendance is less then 2000. 15 bucks a ticket can't blame anyone for not going.

2,000 is the break even point in the SPHL. These are not good numbers but they should be able to hold on for another year unless the bottom falls out. It also doesn't help that they are losing. I've made two games and had fun. I can hardly tell the difference between ECHL and SPHL.

    It's totally different IMO.

I went to the first game. The play is a lot more amateur. I am not going to air out the whole list of likes / dislikes. Basically everyone I went with felt the same. At $7 - $8 I would find myself there more. $15 is steep. I paid $18 game one to get our tix online so we could sit together.

I miss the old Gators AND THE CAJUNDOME!

P.S. The team isn't doing too well and are on their 3rd coach. It's just a mess.

I heard commercials on the radio (here in Houston) last week advertising $13 tickets to see the Aero's, in the Toyota Center. Higher level of hockey, established team, nicer arena, cheaper tickets, even though they may be nose bleed seats.

I went to the Halloween game and I'm heading there for Saturday nights game. There are a lot of missed passes and shots that go wide. It is surely a step down from the ECHL but it is better than nothing.

BTW I love Blackham better than the Cajundome. Don't get me wrong when the Cajundome was rocking with 11,000 plus people it was awesome. Some of best sports memories including the Saints vs. Rams playoff game I went to when we won our first playoff game. With 2,000 Blackham is almost as awesome. You feel like you are right on top of the rink.
