It's funny how events change over time in our minds.

The facts are that Coach Cook was on the staff during some of the Jake era, eventually as OC. He was a great recruiter and a big reason Jake was so successful.

He wasn't interested in the Cajuns job when we hired toothpick.

He was when we hired Bustle. I believe he was in the final 3 under consideration.

Give coach Cook more credit than that, he KNEW better than to be on a staff with toothpick!!!

Maybe Hud is having a hard time finding guys that meet his high standards for work ethic. Maybe Hud, Stringer, and Johnson are working their asses off, and the rest have been mediocre.

The NFL is a promotion. You may not think so, but just about every coach would say a NFL position coach outranks almost every coordinator job in the NCAA, especially if not one of about ten elite NCAA a programs.

Attitude reflects leadership. They are probably leaving because Hud might be a pain in the a$.$ to work for behind the scenes.

They would have left after year one, two, if it was a major problem.

Them staying for three, four is above average in some circles of winning.

The coaching business is nomadic at best.

In section F there is an older woman...who yells most of the game in a low gravely voice...KILL EM!!! Over and over and over again. You are supposed to yell at a football game...but there is a limit.

That women would be a step up on this youngin'. It's completely obvious that he has no idea how defensive schemes work. He yells at Coach while he is facing the field, then call out a player that didnt have a responsibility to the area the play happend.

For example...the other team completes a 15 yd play action pass over the middle. The D is in what looks like Cover 2 (unless you are on headset you never know the call), the safeties drop to their halves and the corner cover a guy in the flats..mike lb is a little late due to play action and bam...first down. He in turns yell at Willis for such a sorry scheme and the safety for not covering the route.

Old Ironsides (my nickname for her) is more of a novelty than anything else. And her intervals depend on if she has a beer in her hand or not. So we get some respite. Hell Section F wouldn't be the same without her. To Old Ironsides.
