GAME 1

Marvel was able to put the Red squad on the scoreboard first with a RBI double to left center field in the top of the first inning. Bostick was able to score from first after reaching base on a hit-by-pitch.

In the bottom of the frame, Keefer responded with a triple to center field, enabling William Long to score from second to tie the game.

The Blackouts tacked on another run in the second after Thad Griffen crushed a shot over the left field fence. A Daniel Nichols sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third extended the lead to 3-1.

The Red team pulled to within a run in the top of the 6th inning after leading off with back-to-back singles by Bostick and Lance Marvel. With no outs, Bostick scored from third after Dillion Guillory grounded into a double play.

The Black squad added a fourth run in the seventh inning after Adam Todd led off with a double down the left field line. He would score three batters later after a single to left field by Long.

Matt Goulas added an insurance run in the bottom of the eight for the Black team with a home run to left field.

Tyler Frederick gave the Red team a glimmer of hope, hitting a homer to left field in the bottom of the ninth. But the Red squad ultimately came up short falling, 5-3, after Bulliard recorded the last two outs of game.

Justin Robichaux picked up the win after pitching 3 2/3 innings. He allowed one run, striking out two and walking none. Zach Osborne earned the loss, giving up three runs in the 3 2/3 innings. He allowed five hits while striking out three.

Keefer finished the game going 3-for-4 with a single, a double and a triple.
