GAME 2

The start of the second game featured a pitcher's duel between Hubbell and Geith. Neither pitcher allowed a hit in the first two innings.

Geith retired the first 11 batters the he faced. Hubbell only faced two over the minimum after two complete.

A Bostick double down the right field line in the bottom of the third inning scored Michael Faul with the first run of game for the Red team. Faul reached base when he led off the inning with a single through the left side and was later sacrificed over to second base by Kyle Olasin.

Bostick was brought home on the next at bat when Marvel singled up the middle.

The Blackouts responded in their half of fourth inning. With two outs, Keefer became the first player to notch a hit off of Geith with an infield single on the back of the infield at third base. That was followed by a double from Goulas that allowed him to score.

After advancing to third on the throw, Goulas would score when he caught the Red team's defense napping.

Keefer gave the Black team the lead in the sixth inning with a two-out, RBI double to right center field off of Red team pitcher Jordan Nicholson.

The Black team used double plays to keep the Red team off the scoreboard in the seventh and eighth innings.

In the seventh inning, with a runner on first (Greg Fontenot), pitcher Ben Suit caught a line drive off the bat of Faul and tossed over to first for the double play. Then in the eighth inning, following a leadoff single by Olasin, Trask Switzenberg began an around the horn double play.

The Black team had upped the lead to 4-2 in the top half of the eighth inning with a Jordan Poirrier RBI single.

Bulliard closed the door on the game and the series when he recorded three strikeouts in the bottom of the ninth.
