_ I feel the same way, its almost comical. This cannot be a good thing. This is what the rest of the state thinks of us. We are a joke.
And I thought we were something. Its bad when you start to think your own team is a joke. Turbine please give me some advice you have been at this way longer than I have. What can I do? _

Of course, I'm not Turbine but I can say this. I've been a Saints fan since birth and can remember sitting in a half empty Superdome watching us get our _____es handed to us on a regular basis. Now, I'm on cloud nine by the way they have been playing the past six games. Just remember. You will always be there long after the coaches are gone. That's what being a fan is all about. It's true when they say that patience is a virtue. Now, does that mean that you can accept the way things are going now? No. But remember that this is our school, and we should support it through the good AND tough times.

Cajuns suffer stunning OT loss

  MIAMI — Alarm clocks buzzed during the early morning hours Saturday in UL's rooms at Don Shula's Hotel & Golf Club before an 11 a.m. kickoff in south Florida.

After getting a major wake-up call in last week's blowout loss to Florida Atlantic, the Ragin' Cajuns teetered on disaster Saturday against Florida International and got another reality check following a 20-17 overtime loss at FIU Stadium.

UL had a chance to send it into a second overtime, but FIU defensive end Tourek Williams blocked Tyler Albrecht's 29-yard field goal attempt to end the game. The loss was the second straight for UL and a woeful start to a pivotal stretch of three straight weeks on the road.

"When our field goal team went onto the field, I just knew the defense would be ready to go back on," said UL linebacker Daylon McCoy, who had a career-high 13 tackles. "Words can't explain how much this hurts."

 MIAMI — UL's road trip to Florida was a homecoming for almost two dozen of its current players.

The Ragin' Cajuns have 20 natives of Florida on their active roster. Only Troy (28), Middle Tennessee (27) and Michigan (21) have more players from the state among non-Florida schools in the Bowl Subdivision.

In fact, the Cajuns have had 34 players from Florida on their roster dating back to 2001. That includes five starters from Saturday's game against Florida International — cornerbacks Dwight Bentley and Orkeys Auriene, right tackle Jonathan Decoster and defensive end Terrell Richardson.

The majority of Bustles teams have tailed off the 2nd half of the season, WHY?


If Bustle and company tailspin again this season, I WILL NOT BUY SEASON TICKETS IF THIS ADMINISTRATION KEEPS HIM HERE NEXT SEASON!!!!!!!!!!

I like Bustle the person but it is over with me and many I know as a Coach. We have had two home and two away games against the 4 worst teams in the belt and went 2-2, now 2 road and 2 home against the best, LET's SEE BUT IT DOES NOT LOOK GOOD!!!!!!

I do not feel like posting anything negative. I really laugh thinking about the fact that we lost to FIU today. It's a very weird feeling. I'm not upset.

I honestly think it would be a waste of time to type up a 10 paragraph long post about how I feel about UL athletics.

I am smiling while I type this... and I think I'm supposed to be ____ed off.

I think I got it out after the FAU game and I see all these angry posts.

This can't be a good thing... can it? _

Welcome to being a Cajun fan. We love the school and its teams and we are happy as can be when they win. I almost expect to lose every game. Sad state of affairs. When I heard we lost I just kind of shrugged it off. We deserve better but this is it.

At this point going 4-8 or 5-7 would be like saying to the admin ... "I told you so!"

6-6 buys him another year.

I expected UL before season to be 6-6 at best and losing to Troy, Ark St.

So 7-5 or 8-4 is almost unrealistic at this point.

you don't actually think the administration will put out the money to buy out his contract, do you? as i've said before, he will serve out his contract. we just have to assure the players that we are still behind them. it's gonna be a fine line to walk, knowing how many of us feel about the coaching staff, yet not letting the players feel that they will be going through a lame duck year of head coaching. let's let this season play out first. we still need for these guys to do some decent recruiting. we'll have the walker kid from mamou coming on board next year, plus the rest of the class. we can't be perceived as just dooming the rest of this year, and all of next season. then, the next thing we'll know is that we are going to get the blame for failure for our being so pessimistic and negative. we all know how that game is played.

You really think that the Walker kid from Mamou is going to be a difference maker? As far as future recruits, they see what is going on here. Why would a player want to come to UL with a program that can barely break over .500? And to come to play for a coach in the last year of his contract? The immediate future is not a bright one.
