You know, people are always quick to point to Baldwin for the current state of UL football.

I think the roster was pretty depleted when Baldwin got there. I think you have to go back to Stokely to really find out when the program's neglect started. I might be wrong, but I think the football team had fewer than 50 scholarship players when Stokely left. Hardly, a good base to build on.

Yeah, I'd like to have seen Baldwin get the same opportunity Bustle has received. The problems didn't start with Baldwin. They were already there.

I do not feel angry.

I do not feel like posting anything negative. I really laugh thinking about the fact that we lost to FIU today. It's a very weird feeling. I'm not upset.

I honestly think it would be a waste of time to type up a 10 paragraph long post about how I feel about UL athletics.

I am smiling while I type this... and I think I'm supposed to be ____ed off.

I think I got it out after the FAU game and I see all these angry posts.

This can't be a good thing... can it?

I understand your point but if you want to go back to that point then let's bring it all the way back to the racism against Cajun basketball and the subsequent NCAA sanctions. There is no doubt in my mind that those events shaped much of Dr. Authment's tenure as that was one of his primary responsibilities as a new president. Right or wrong he was charged with making sure it didn't happen again. It didn't but neither did much of anything else.

I'm not sure what the answer is but I seriously doubt it rest with one person. If Bustle were a ping pong player maybe so but he is one person in the midst of over 100 that effect our performance. Maybe he is the one and only cause of our woes but I doubt it.

I feel the same way, its almost comical. This cannot be a good thing. This is what the rest of the state thinks of us. We are a joke.
And I thought we were something. Its bad when you start to think your own team is a joke. Turbine please give me some advice you have been at this way longer than I have. What can I do?
