Can anyone confirm this?
Can anyone confirm this?
I can not confirm but, I heard he had it last week.
Yep. I reported on it twice on my blog last week. Coach Lee would not confirm either report, but my source is solid.

Maybe Lee will address the issue during Tuesday's Sun Belt video teleconference? Doesn't seem interested in answering the question right now.
I heard unfortunately this was a misdiagnosis by the medical staff. Apparently Travis may had been having issues for over a year. I heard it was a sports hernia. These things are very tricky to diagnose, as you all may remember with Jeremy Shockey.
Either way not good, and unfortunate. I'm sure Coach Lee doesn't want to talk about it, because it is depressing. To lose your second leading scorer weeks before the season to an injury that could have been taken care during the offseason is probably very frustrating.
Again, it is no ones fault, sometimes things like that are just hard to diagnose.
Redshirt him this year so a coach who knows what is going on can use him next year.
How long is he out for?.............This sucks!! I'm so tired of the injury bug plaguing or athletics!!
Is the Cajun Athletic complex built on an ancient burial ground?
Not sure on the recovery time but if he is not going to be 100% by the end of December then i would be disappointed if they don't redshirt him. As good as Travis is there is the talent on the team to make up for his loss. Daigle could start at SG (assuming he is healthy soon, i noticed he still had a cast on at the game saturday) Roberson, Dison, and Bloom will be there to get minutes off the bench. I won't even include Gary in that mix for now cause i have no idea what his progress is but he could be a possibility too.
Lee already took 1/3 of a season away from Bureau by deciding to play him late 2 years ago. One of the most disappointing things about last year (and there were many) was the planned redshirt of Courtney Wallace that was abandoned because a PG got suspended and depth was needed in a meaningless nonconference game that we got killed in anyway. Wallace then played minimal minutes the rest of the season and another year of eligibility was wasted. I hope Lee considers whats best for Travis's future before deciding to play him this year but with his job on the line my guess is we'll see him as soon as he can run up and down the court.
