I think UL would be a move up for Terry Bowden (North Alabama). Tommy Bowden is no longer with Clemson. These are big college football names with experience. This is what we should be shooting for if another move is made. We've got to think big to be big, otherwise.......same old, same old........

Either of those 2 "names" would certainly give the fan base a reason to get excited. And quite possibly aid in recruiting very effectively. And maybe Papa could come by on his retirement tour.

I read on several different newspaper sites from the north alabama area that he's got a 1yr/$100k contract. this would be the time to pull that big name if any. even if he doesn't stay but 2 or 3 yrs as HC it would help the recruiting out tremendously not to mention he and his brother are offensive master minds. if bustle stagnates and hits 6-6 or has a losing record i think he needs to go.

Like I stated earlier, I am not ready to jump on the Fire Bustle bandwagon but I think the time is closer than ever. When the time comes, we will see if the RCAF is ready to open the pocketbook. What did they say when it was started, about the parking passes, etc? You have to pay to play. Same goes for coaches.

I hope that's a joke. I've seen what the Orgeron can do as a head coach, and it isn't pretty. Honestly, I don't know who is worse-him or Bustle. Regardless, he's making serious jack at UT, he doesn't have to coach (just recruit) and he's not on the hot seat. He's not going anywhere.

We think that we can't draw a somewhat "big" name, but yet Terry Bowden is at North Alabama for $100K/yr. This doesn't seem to make much sense, but then again, there it is, ripe for the picking.....................

Applewhite is a stud. He brought Catholic High BR to a number 10 national ranking while he was there and he did great things with the offense at Bama in the 1 year he was there

Also interesting will be when a coaching change is made, what kind of effect the facility upgrades and current facilities will play in the hiring process. It seems like we were passed up by many coaches because this seemed like a dead end job. I think that will be a good measuring stick for the progress of the program. With the admin starting to show that they are committed to athletics and appear ready to get behind someone that can get us to the next level.
