On a serious note, I am thinking about the future but reserve to start thinking seriously about replacing Bustle until we are 2-5 in Conference. If that happens, lets play Troy without a Head Coach and start looking to the future. _
You mean Louis Cook..... i've heard he's burned some bridges with the university from when he decided to coach at ND high school over UL. i could be wrong though. someone car eto enlighten me if things have changed. maybe it was with the former admin here.

I really was just joking about the "C" word. Just like Jay refuses to say the "F" word, I will refuse to say the "C" word. I just think it is funny that his name comes up in every new coach discussion.

I was 100% serious when I said that we need to reserve to jump on the Fire Bustle bandwagon until we are 2-5 in conference. But I thinking about it and hoping that the thoughts leave my head when we are playing Troy for a conference championship.

On a serious note, when "C" was here, we had the most success that this program has ever seen. I know he'll never come back, and I'm not even saying he should, but I'm just saying...

I think UL would be a move up for Terry Bowden (North Alabama). Tommy Bowden is no longer with Clemson. These are big college football names with experience. This is what we should be shooting for if another move is made. We've got to think big to be big, otherwise.......same old, same old........

Either of those 2 "names" would certainly give the fan base a reason to get excited. And quite possibly aid in recruiting very effectively. And maybe Papa could come by on his retirement tour.

I read on several different newspaper sites from the north alabama area that he's got a 1yr/$100k contract. this would be the time to pull that big name if any. even if he doesn't stay but 2 or 3 yrs as HC it would help the recruiting out tremendously not to mention he and his brother are offensive master minds. if bustle stagnates and hits 6-6 or has a losing record i think he needs to go.

Like I stated earlier, I am not ready to jump on the Fire Bustle bandwagon but I think the time is closer than ever. When the time comes, we will see if the RCAF is ready to open the pocketbook. What did they say when it was started, about the parking passes, etc? You have to pay to play. Same goes for coaches.
