Is this true for Ferguson, I am showing him signing with NMSU.

We may have liked the skills he offered, but that move says something about character that may have come back to bite us. I'm VERY impressed with who we did sign.

This would contribute to the star drop.
I do not like the star system that is used because it is not based purely on the Athletic Ability of the individual prospect.....my ratings of these prospects would be different than the services....

Brister will likely be either at a JUCO in MS or a preferred walkon at Ms State; per my conversation with Kyle at the bash. He was offered as a preferred walkon here at the bash, and may end up here, but it is looking like MSU or JUCO.

But when did OSU offer him? OSU probably missed out on someone who was committed to them then they offered the kid. Coach Stringer made a comment last night that Oklahoma State basically went down our commitment page and started calling on our guys.

That Javaughn Ferguson is a LB, different athlete from Baton Rouge. The walk-on is from Franklin HS.

----Which is all fair and possibly why there is talk about an early signing period for football----I guess I have been in sales all my life selling Christmas trees in NO, recruiting, doing the YB deal, and the SF meetings----international gurus of all kinds I have heard and read their books and listened to their tapes-----I hear HUD using many of these in our recruiting efforts and they no doubt are paying off---Could go on and on about the 2 sides of the pecking order but you have to do both!! We want to steal from the S'Easterns and not allow theft from the SECs of the world!!! BTW HUD mentioned a huge component of the process last night---who decides where the kid is going (the kid, girl friend, mom, dad, granny, uncle, brother, friend, coach, teacher, etc)!!!

I seriously doubt that Oklahoma State went down on our recruiting list and started calling our recruits. Word on Keyes was that they had a kid go somewhere else and he was next on their list and they came back to him.

I'm sure he meant that they had a few of our players in mind had they lost some of their commitments and Keyes was one of them.
